Just a quick note
Last week before the storm that became Harvey entered the Caribbean, I said it’d go to Belize and then Texas.
Was a guess, mostly, but I seem to have been right.
Harvey regenerated back into a depression today, and is likely to become a tropical storm shortly. It may become a hurricane as it approaches the Texas coast.

The rain appears, right now, to be the primary thread. Some projections (and be wary of model projections!) have rainfall near Houston measured in feet by the time the weekend is over. Remember Alison from 2001? This could be far worse.
In addition, New Orleans officials discussed the evacuation of the city, just in case and especially after thunderstorms earlier this summer flooded parts of the city.
Stay tuned!
for those who like trivia, tomorrow’s the anniversary of Hurricane Andrew striking South Dade in 1992. It was the last Category 5 hurricane to strike the US.
